  • Overview for Analysis

    Hello everyone,

i am new in the simulator business. So i bought a skytrak but now for me itś interesting which values are normal for different handicap

For example ball speed or clubhead speed . What are normal values for a hcp 10 or hcp 20 golfer with different clubs ?

Is ther a overview or a table where i can find this ?

    Thank you

Since everbody is different, there is not really a chart that says how hard you should be swinging depending on your handicap. Skytrak, however, has the Shot Optimizer feature which tells you what Skytrak thinks should be your optimal launch angle, spin rate, and angle of descent for each club in your bag. How they derived these numbers, I don't know. For an 8 Iron, for example, the optimal launch angle has a 9 degree span (between 19 and 27 or something like that). My belief is that if the ball goes where you intend it to, then you're playing golf. Whether you hit a 6 iron when someone else hits an 8 iron is immaterial if you both get on the green. This is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Trackman website has this info. Shows tour averages and then also shows averages for various levels of handicaps (from scratch golfers to bogey golfers)

This is cool. Seeing their stats compared to mine is pretty eye-opening.
