  • HD Golf vs FullSwing vs TruGolf vs ? - Summary comparison?

    Brand new member here...first post.

I am in final design stages of designing our new house which will include a golf simulator room. In doing a bit of research (Web and on here) - I think I have narrowed it down to HD Golf, FullSwing, and Tru Golf and looking for opinions on comparing these .

    Important factors for me :
    • Graphics - realistic.
    • Accuracy
      • ball strike and spin
      • objects on the course (does the ball "go through rocks and trees?"
      • Putting / Chipping accuracy
    • L or R golfers without moving device to either side
    • Ease of use to play and practice
    • I am not interested in other "games' for the units
    • Cost (budget is about $40K) including installation and yearly "fees"
Thanks in advance and if you feel there is a better system for me based on above, please advise.

There aren't a lot of people on this forum using those systems. Uneekor EyeXO is $10k and has several software options. It is ceiling mounted and extremely accurate when compared against industry standards like Trackman or GCQuad.

Foresight GCHawk is closer to $20k with less software options. It isn't as popular as EyeXO for those reasons, but is at least worth a look.

A Trackman 4 with indoor-only license is also about $20k. It has a yearly hardware and software fee, but many people consider its software to be top-of-the-line and it is continually being improved. It needs more room for ball flight than the first two systems, but I believe there is an update that is either coming up or was just released that reduces the length that the ball needs to fly before hitting the screen.

Foresight and Trackman both do full installs, but you would be better off from a cost standpoint having your contractor finish out the space.

Agree with andygg1986 that you have some very good options besides the ones you mentioned, at significantly lower price points, and would be in the company of far more users. Happy to chat through your options with you - you can schedule a call on my calendar if you like: https://calendly.com/gunghogolf

I was in the same boat as you, with the plan to spend around 50k for the SIM portion of my build. I got quotes from everywhere, HD, TRU, FullSwing, AboutGolf, Trackman. Did a lot of research online and especially on these pages and ended up with the EYE XO.
