  • Odd question - what else besides golf

I built my sim about a year ago and it has been a blast. Friends, family and I have played a ton of golf on it and enjoyed the heck out of it. However, I have grandchildren and young adult nieces and nephews that will be coming to our place for Thanksgiving that would have fun using the sim for other games as well . i was thinking about buying a wheel, pedals, and shifter combo but thought I would ask you folks if you have found fun uses for your sim for the non-golfers in your world. I have posted a picture to show how much room I have. The screen is 16'x9', the projector is a shortthrow overhead projector, and my pc is a very good gaming computer that should be able to run about anything. Thanks for your suggestions.

I just bought the new Logitech wheel G923 (I think) and a next level gaming folding chassis to do the same thing for the holidays. I think the total was a little over $600 and it will work with my Xbox game pass for racing games. I have my setup as dual zone as I have a home theater adjacent to the simulator so I can switch which screen is displayed on the sim. I won’t have the chassis until 11/1, but the wheel is awesome.

Mine is still in process, but in addition to golf (GC3), it will also essentially be a baseball/softball hitting cage (utilizing a HitTrax which will be projected onto the impact screen just like the golf sim), iRacing sim, and home theatre.
