    Enquiring about various systems

Hi, I have been enquiring about various systems...

getting any type of feedback or videos of these things working outside of par2pro and various 30 second videos seems next to impossible. My questions to Sky Trak were, when are you SELLING a sim software product to match your simulator and what is the cost of the full system per se ?

I have also enquired about Premier Divot Action and I spoke to the owner there who says he has a product in testing which will be ready by Oct... no videos of anything or any operational studies, but he does have a mighty long detailed website which rattles on about other stuff they sell.

I also looked at Golf Achiever which is a Laser Based System, but once again only very old videos and little transparency, but said laser system seems like a great idea given the problems with doppler systems, other radar and photo systems.

Failing that I may just buy a used GC2 and hook it to one of the software packages out there, but I did not want to spend $10k on something that really should be worth $5k

I have already built a matt, padding and stance set up in my basement for iron play (ceilings too low for woods) and will get a new gaming PC and projector etc or I may just transfer the whole thing to my garage. I live now in the NE and doubt if my Aussie hands could handle hitting outdoors in sub 40F temps !

Outside of this forum and some sketchy info'd websites there is little data outside of spending big $ on a system that looks like a Rolls Royce when all one needs is a Toyota Camry.

NB I have read this forum in some detail and all one reads is about Sky Trak in beta mode testing for various software programs..... and a lot of niggling problems with said system working consistently..... indeed my neighbour has one and has had problems getting it to sync as per discussions on this forum.

My bet is on skytrak with TGC for a good, yet cost effective option. obviously we are still waiting on tgc, but when it does come out, I'm not sure how you beat that for the money and portability of the setup.

If portability is what you are looking for. If robustness and a track record is what you are looking for proTee is hard to beat (for a permanent set-up).

Yeah I'd probably do protee for a perm setup. Although I'm holding out hope I could someday use the skytrak LM with a protee base.

Thx, frankly worried about Sky Trak accuracy, reliability abd lack of any feedback at all from the company despite 4 enquiries..... like the look of it if it works as some say it does

I can't speak for the company, but for example if you emailed Apple and asked them about the iPhone 7 I doubt they would give you any info. Companies don't want to release features to the public unless they are ready.

I ASKED about buying a product directly from a small company who doesn't respond... hardly the same as asking a $500 Billion company a question.

"I would like to buy your product, can you advise if sim software will be made available to the public this year and at what approximate cost"

Simple question... no response form email, phone call or their online chat service

I agree they should have at least responded to the question. But I still don't think they would answer those questions. We all know the sim stuff is in the works from this forum.

Contrast with ProTee, which has awesome support. I've never waited more than a few hours for email to be returned, even on weekends. I'd definitely steer clear of SkyTrak if they don't return emails.
