  • Software Choices - ProTee

I just finished the install of my ProTee setup I bought from IndoorGolf. I had been a member at a commercial sim shop where everything was top notch, so I am bit disappointed with TGC2019. You think I would have a better experience with GSPro or other software?

Also, my yardages all seem consistent to several different LMs I have used except driver. I am 4-5 mph slower swing speed on ProTee. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have never used TGC2019, but GSPro is top notch and I think you would have a better experience with it over TGC2019. I have been using GSPro for well over a year. I am in a sim golf league where the facility uses Foresight and I think GSPro is better.

I do wish TGC 2019 had better practice options, but it still has served me well. I also have found my swing speeds are a bit lower with the Protee VX than other launch monitors, such is GC3. Still, only about 2 percent lower.

Are you overall happy with the ProteeVX?

I'm very satisfied with it. The information one gets from it is so often eye opening and provides real game improvement opportunities. Swing speeds and ball speeds seem a bit off when compared to other launch monitors. I would say 2 mph for irons and perhaps 3 mph for driver, which of course causes distances to be off a bit. That can be adjusted with physics settings. I just change the temp to 95, the height up 25% and distances seem more reasonable. Still, I'm using it with a ceiling height of 8' 7 1/2". That is 4 1/2" below the min spec, so I can't complain about small variations. It still reads most golf balls well and consistantly as long as the ball has bold lettering and I place the lettering facing the VX. I would with out doubt by it again.

            Thanks for you feedback,

I am on the fence between Uneekor or Protee...
