Skytrak - considerations when buying

I am new to this forum but have read many of the threads already. Many of the Skytrak reviews are from 2015 or earlier this year before TGC and recent software updates. I am thinking of buying a Skytrak. Can anyone give me the current situation in terms of the following?
1. Accuracy (also compared to other launch monitors)
2. Software Accuracy (I've heard that some have issues with distances with WGC and TGC)
3. Simulation software - nobody talks much about WGC which I know is a far cry from TGC. However, until I get another computer and TGC software, can someone tell me the pros/cons of WGC?
4. Support for Skytrak
5. Other pros/cons that I should consider.

Also:
TGC - how real are the real courses? I know most are not real. If I get a GC2, what software do I need to buy to run TGC (or is that even an option now)?

In my opinion
1) Very pleased with mine can't fault it - been numerous posts about skytrak against other launch monitors - stands up very well for the most part especially for the price point.
2) I have only used WGT and TGC , Love TGC have no issues with accuracy and my distances seem pretty good , getting a much better feel for chipping and putting too which I also think is about as good as you could get really for playing on a sim. Only had WGT because of the wait for other sim software to be released, it was OK as a break away from the range to begin with but lack of multi player and odd camera angles never did it for me ,I wouldn't waste my money on it now TBH.

4) I've not had much need for Skytgolf help but on the couple of occasions I have they replied and helped reasonably quickly , support from protee for TGC has been awesome.
5) For me the skytrak has made a much more affordable option for home golf simulation , always wanted a GC2 but neve had the funds to make it happen so for the same money I would of spent on a GC2 I have squeezed a launch monitor , TGC software, gaming PC and a screen. 👍

Played a dozen courses on TGC some of the re creations are great ,Magnolia national and a few others I think they are as close to real as you can get also played others that are fictional but equally as enjoyable.

Skytrak is shaping to be an excellent launch monitor with great sim support. As Smudge mentioned go with TGC. The software is great, support amazing and online play ready. E6 and PG will be other options in the future. If you can afford a GC2 then don't hesitate to buy one. If not, settle on the ST and be happy.

Thanks. When you say if you can afford a GC2 get it, is there that much of a difference that you would buy that one if you could pay the money? If so, how much more accurate is it or is there another reason you would buy that one?

kyer, GC2 is a more accurate unit than the ST. The shot to show time for GC2 is faster as well. The GC2 is well established as well. Having said that a new GC2 is $6500 and the ST is $2000. Is the extra accuracy worth $4500? To some yes. Should you buy a Lexus or a Toyota?

I have yet to get to the simulation part of my ownership experience. Will more than likely pull the trigger on TGC, but still need a few things before that. I have had my ST for about two months now. Other than some connection issues in the beginning, which seem to have been cleared up with recent updates, I am enjoying it very much for what it provides. For now it is just for distance and ball flight practice, and I am very satisfied with the accuracy and ease of use, especially for the price. I too was on the fence with GC2, but as Bubba mentioned, my Toyota gets the same gas mileage for less. If someday, and if even possible, an option for club-head measurement comes available, the ST will no doubt be a more worthy investment than it is now.
