Distance from Tee position to Impact screen...

I know there have been other topics relating to this, but I wanted to get a perspective based on my own needs. I have a Skytrak, so distance to the screen isn't really an issue, but i wanted to find out if anyone was hitting into an impact screen from a distance of 8 ft? I am currently at 10 ft, however I want to rearrange my sim screen during my basement build, but in doing so, there's a support post that would limit my distance from the screen to about 8 ft (maybe a little more). Has anyone had any issues hitting from this distance? Thanks for the input!!

I think mine is from about 6.5 to 7. Doesn't bother me at all. My shanks are better controlled that way.

My hitting zone is about 8 ft from the screen. FYI, my projector is 6 ft from the screen.

So, you don't have any bounce back issues or feel that's it too close to the impact screen? Thanks!

No bounce back problems. I use 6” bungee cords at the top and the sides. The bottom is 1.5’ longer than the frame and is untethered so it acts as a natural ball return.

That's great! I was a little worried about bounce back or just not feeling comfortable that close, but I guess it just makes you feel closer to being there in person...lol

dmsimm69 at first maybe the few times it entered my mind about being that close. Now I pay it no mind. I stay on he tee steady my hands. Deep breathes and proceed to slice it right into the screen.

the bounce is null. Ball drops straight down. I have two layers of backing that helps.
