are curtains better than just bigger impact screen wrapping round + other questions

Just in the process of planning my build in my small tight garage- have seen similar builds so know it will work. Plan is skytrak system once built but initially want to get impact screen and baffles setup first. setup will be permanent- that is not on rails, or movable as I don't use my garage for cars.

been looking at heavy duty archery netting for impact screen but just wondering instead of having curtains would I be better just buying bigger archery netting which can wrap round and act as side curtains? because my garage is so tight I'm worried a bit of ricochet and thinking impact screen right round would deflect ball better to impact screen. Not planning on building an emt frame- going to use galvanised angle and cable ties to secure screen as per here: https://www.golfswingsystems.co.uk/p...chery-netting/

Also what is the best material to put overhead from balls? My dimensions are tight- my garage has no interior roof fitted just the beams plus actual roof so there's space between the beams but lowest beams are about 9 feet high- yet to hit any yet I'm only 5'7" and if I do swing with driver that high I must go between the beams. wall to wall my garage is about 10 foot wide but screen will be about 8 foot wide to allow space. Tee will be about 16-18 foot back.

I was thinking for overhead material just a netting but was is most durable with holes small enough so golf balls don't burst through?

You really cannot hit from that far back without hitting the ceiling frequently. The lower your ceiling the closer you need to be to the screen.

My screen is 10 wide by 8 high. I hit from 7.5 feet away. If you hit any further away wedges will hit ceiling or climb up screen and spin back at you. Just my experience

My setup has a cage that is 8' 7" high, 12' 6" wide and 7' depth. I have it surrounded by netting, because I did not want balls punching holes in my drywall. I thought it was overkill until I saw a shank hit the right side of the netting about 2' from the right edge.

I hit from 10 ft from the screen. The screen is 8' by 12'. That means a shot with a launch angle of 40 degrees or higher will hit over the top of the screen. My ceiling it 8' 10', so I have about 3" between the top net and the ceiling. I have hit the ceiling once with a high wedge shot, although flop shots hit the net and fall down without hitting the ceiling.
