Hey love your setup and think it will work well for me in my space where I have a pipe to go under near the wall so I cannot go higher than 8 foot screen. i ordered Carl's 8x10.5. I'm covering the pipes with foam insulation and think I can go over the pipe at the right with your setup. Question is how deep is your netting? And how high is the back where the screen is and how high is the front of the setup? Thanks in advance. Attaching my madness I'm working with

Favorite build I've seen on here. Made an account just to comment. This is exactly what I want to try and get in my garage.

Great build! I actually had the exact same fear during my build and purchased almost balls. We did a comparison on our site comparing real balls to the almost balls throughout the bag (all Skytrak data) which may help with understanding the drop off as you get deeper in the bag. I was actually surprised how close it was with wedges. I ended up putting retractable curtains around my sim so it wouldn't take up too much room while not in use, and now I can use real balls which is great. Take a look, maybe you want to look into doing the same. Either way, looks great!

Great build. I love seeing how people do it in the garage. Two questions.
          1. About how far is the projector from the net.
          2. I noticed a heater hanging in the corner. Does it work well? Does it run on electric? Looking for options to heat my garage.

          Thanks

It's a short throw projector... so I think like 6.5 feet.

Yes the heater runs great. It required me to run a 240 to the garage but well worth it. Didnt wanna have to vent for a gas and also mess with gas line. I have a 3 car garage fully insulated.

Just as a though, take a look at voiceattack ..https://voiceattack.com/ ... I also wanted the function of being able to change club, open shot optimiser etc in skytrak, without having the touch the keyboard ... I now have this voice attack setup, so I just say "7 iron", and it sets the club. It uses mouse movements, so you program (visually) where you click on a screen, or which key to press etc .... .you can have upto 20 commands, with the free version ... maybe give it a try

Albie! Thank you for the Voice Attack suggestion! That is not only going to work amazing with my Golf Sim, but also with my Racing Sim! $10 for the full version too? Sold.

Did some testing last night and plunked down the $10 no problem. Not perfect, like most voice recognition stuff, but definitely good enough for the purpose. Highly flexible customization too once you start to get down in it.

Only concern at the moment is how it's going to work with my Racing Sim Rig as it's quite a bit more noisy than golf (duh, haha) and the excess noise is most certainly going to mess with the command recognition. As it is in dead quiet it didn't like "Lob Wedge"... so I just changed the command to "Money", and it worked just fine.
