Do you remember what you paid for the harbor freight mesh tarp for the ceiling? I need something similar up there.

Around $20 or so. Believe I bought the 10 x 15 one also. They have smaller but I'm 16 ft wide. Can get a 10x8 or something if you're not as wide and itll be cheaper. Also can use a 20% off coupon that can be found online for them for instore purchases.

Yes, that's all this is & they use. This is a manual version like an awning. They have the motorized version which is just a tubular motor that goes inside the one side and can go up n down with a button. I've seen people convert, using a tubular motor.

I "motorized" my sportscreen by bending a steel 3/8" rod and putting it in a drill. Goes up and down in a hurry no issues.

Yes I seen people doing that also. I just found a good 3/8 rod in my garage rafters when I was insulating n was gonna modify that to work with my drill. I was going to jb weld a bike hook or plant hook to the end of it. Or have a friend weld it for me.👍

No need to weld it... just stick it in a vice and bend it into a hook. Easy peasy

J-B Weld is just an epoxy - pretty easy as well.

Kgray247 What did you do with the middle/bottom poles that came with the sportscreen? Did you use them or something else to weigh/tie the screen down?

Thank you! This is the normal manual hockey sportscreen, yes the motorized stealth screen is super expensive.
I attached my Carl's impact with garage door self tapping screws through the grommets and into the aluminum roller. Didnt use velcro like some do. Works totally perfect this way.

Man that is smart, I've read so many things about attaching with velcro or relying on having a spare wrap of screen on the roller. Just screw it on. Love your setup, mine will be very similar but no couches unless we're selling haha.

How difficult was the install? I'd like to do something similar, have thought about the Stealth screen, but not certain if I could install it myself. How did it go for you?

Super simple, just screw the Brackets into the ceiling and it all pops in together. Did it all & hung the screen by myself

Could you show a picture of how you tapped the screws into the aluminum? How did you get the impact screen to be level? Also how many grommets did you do?

Carls preferred screens already has the grommets in it. The sportscreen is like a 3 inch aluminum awning. It has ribs that go straight throughout the ends & I just followed that line with the garage door self tappers. Will try to get a pic
