  • Please help a newbie! Software

Brand new fresh newbie but very excited to get all set up and going out in my garage. Just looking through some of these I am very impressed. I will post pictures at another time but for now...

I just purchased a Skytrak myself and am looking forward to finishing my setup. My question is what software should I buy between E6 and TTC2019? I will mainly play local with others in my garage but would like the possibility of multiplayer. It looks the the cost of E6 is way higher with less courses.... $2500 or $600 per year vs $900 for TTC. I am have not played either. Any help deciding would be much appreciated!

Jeremy, just search for TGC2019 vs E6 and you will find a ton of stuff. Everything you read in the old messages is still relevant today. Bottom line is that both products have supporters.

Jeremy, you can also demo E6 via iPad or computer (you will have to reach out to E6 for a demo download for the PC version). Unfortunately, you can't demo TGC2019. I will be in your same position once I transition from a temporary setup to a permanent one. As of now, I have WGT which will suffice while the temporary setup is in place. I have done a ton of research on both TGC2019 and E6 connect and they both seem to have their pros and cons. The biggest factor for me is price. The E6 connect pay structure flat out sucks in my opinion. However, from everything I've researched it appears they do better in terms of supporting/patching the product/software. But as you stated, there are less courses. TGC seems to have a huge community feel and following with a lot of people in this forum banning together to get courses added regularly. The cost structure is a lot more affordable also. Ultimately, you have to weigh how you intend on using it, what you are looking for in a sim software, and what you're comfortable with paying. Good luck and enjoy the ride of researching. Plenty of information here on this forum and also on youtube. Hope this helps just a bit.

Jeremy...I was in a similar position last year when I purchased my SkyTrak. At first, I went with WGT for the cost and ease of use with iPad. After a year, and copious research I went with TGC 2019. I purchased a Dell G7 Gaming laptop with NVIDIA card and it is a world of difference. Just the ability to play with multiple players at home, graphics, and game play are great. I also tried the Demo E6 and the graphics were similar but the cost and amount of courses available with TGC2019 made the decision for me.
