Question about simulator setup

Hey guys had a question about setup:
I have a new custom computer built for Skytrak/TGC2019 using a projector : Optoma GT1080darbee.

Intel Core i5-9600KF 6-Core/6-Thread Processor Socket LGA1151, 3.7 GHz Base/ 4.6 GHz Max Turbo Frequency 16 GB Ram ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER Overclocked 4GB 1800 MHz Boost, 12002 MHz Memory HDMI 2.0b, DP 1.4a, Native DVI-D TUF-GTX1650S-O4G-GAMING Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SATA III 500GB Read: 550MB/s; My projector is connected via HDMI to my computer and my skytrak is plugged directly into my computer.

Question: Do I need a specific or recommended computer monitor to maximize my video card/display for the TGC2019 game on to the simulator screen? I am not sure how important the monitor plays into the equation? For example if I had a low end monitor using my custom built computer , will the display on the projector also be low quality and thus be wasting the video card capability of the GTX 1650?
Do I even need a monitor or can I use the projector display somehow direct with computer -if this is even recommended?

Use the HDMI output from the GTX and hook directly to the projector. You can add a second monitor/tv using a secondary output if you want.

Technically your projector is your monitor. You don't even need the cheap monitor as you put it. But to answer your question your gt1080Darbee will display 1080p resolution even if you plug in a cheap secondary monitor. If you do use 2 monitors just make sure you go into display settings and select "extend the display" and make sure your projector is selected as main display.

I believe that vid card has two HDMI out ports. There are various reasons to have the monitor. Just a few listed below. The bottom line is, while you don't necessarily need it, it can be convenient and useful.

1. Most computer placements are perpendicular to the impact screen. The monitor makes it easier to work on the computer (think: install updates, check email, etc.).
2. Hook a cable box up to your monitor/55"tv in my case, and you can watch the game while you're golfing.
3. Most setups have your friends behind the golfer making it difficult to see the shot... they can now watch the monitor and see everything.
4. At some point if you upgrade... As in the uneekor set up, you can play tgc while getting visual feedback of your swing (TGC on the projector, vid capture on the monitor)..

Yes after your input I have decided to keep the monitor for many of the reasons you have listed above.
