Got the go ahead to build my hs golf team a simulator. I’ve been working at it for a week or so. Thought I’d post pics and ask questions here. Here’s the room as we got it.

Painted logo came out really nice. This took quite a bit of time but worth it.

Foss 18x18 carpet squares going down. These were $1 per square foot at Home Depot. We mopped and cleaned floor very good before laying down.

Love the checkered pattern of the floor from laying rib pattern in opposite direction. Very nice and smooth to putt on. Cost us around $900 for 900 square feet.

So what are the plans for the setup? How big is your area? One thing i would suggest to add for "relatively" low cost is the exputt system. It's supposedly going to increase in price soon, so if it's in your budget, now would be the time to get one. I think there may still be a discount as well if you search for the FB forum. It's an amazing product and so far I can say for certain it has helped my putting.

Purchased raw impact screen from Daniel dbgolf72@yahoo.com on this website and built a diy enclosure using gunghogolf instructions. Linked here:

Enclosure is 17’4” wide and 9’9” tall. Glad we went this route as it saved us quite a bit from buying enclosure online. Still need to attach black fabric but ran out of clips.

Not familiar with exputt system but will look into it.

The room will mainly be used for our team to practice putting and hit balls on a range using software program. Our local 9 hole course does not have a range. Our plan was to place several above ground putt around cups with our logo.

Our budget total is around $5000 to get the system functioning. Flooring, enclosure, projector, Skytrak, and mat are the main expenses.

Lol, this is an old armory building that was donated to the school. We use it as an athletic facility. It has a full court gym, baseball room with 3 cages, and now our golf sim room.

Added some putting mats, golf ball racks, and diy swing plane board.

Lifted the sagging screen frame in the middle with carabiners and chain. Tried dowel rods in the joint but that didn’t work well.

Got the projector mounted. Every golf sim needs a little Caddyshack flair.
