Years in the making....build is done...

These are the pictures of my build. First off, thank you to this forum for providing all the information, insight and resources for the design and build. The system is the Uneekor QED w/ an ASUS gaming laptop and BenQ MW632ST. Country club mat, bunk carpet around the frame with sound proof 1’ x 1’ tiles for ceiling and walls. The screen measures 85x144....16:10.

A couple things I messed up:

    1. The screen size is off to properly fit
    2. The projector needs to be upgraded to have both horizontal and vertical shape adjustment. It’s fine for now, I’m done spending money. I will upgrade to Optoma WU515TST At some point.

    Thanks again to all!!

Looks great. What screen did you go with and how did you attach the bunk carpet trim around the sides and bottom? Do you have it attached to the screen itself with Velcro or anything? I'm still trying to decide if I'm going with the raw material or a finished screen with trim attached.

I bought the raw screen from Dan on here. The bunk carpet stapled to the wood frame and used outdoor turf tape to hold the carpet to the screen. Works ok but the bottom middle I need to upgrade to something else.

ooooohhh - that's sweet! Congrats!!! I'm also years in the making, and hope to finish my build in the next month, or so.... just can't wait to get 'balls up'.... I love your timber built frame as I'm considering something similar - is there some reason you chose it over metal/pipe frame? And, how much distance do you have from screen to back wall?

                  Thank you!

I chose the wood so that I could staple/nail to it.

distance from screen to back wall is about 15”
