Color Behind Impact Screen?

Does it matter? Here is what I currently have while I wait for my impact screen. Is it ok to have the black or is white better for the image? What I have hanging is a sound proof blanket but could hang a white sheet in front. Thanks to everyone who contributes on this forum it has been immensely helpful!

Black behind the impact screen is ideal. As all impact screens are slightly translucent, some light passes through it, and the ideal is that none of that pass-thru light gets reflected back to the screen. Black behind it will give you the best possible contrast and detail.

I purchased sound proof blankets that were reversible Black/white. I tried both and ended up using the black side. I think it provided a better picture, but when the projector is off, you can't see anything behind the screen (Carls Preferred). When I had the white side showing, you could see the blanket behind the screen. My SIM room is in a finished lower level and I wanted it to look good while playing and also when not in use.

I second black as the ideal color.
