I've been lurking and learning and reading for months now, and I am finally in a place where I can share some pictures and show some progress.
Room is 8'9" tall, 14' wide and 14' deep.
Carl's 8x12x5' (16:10) Preferred screen fits the front wall close to perfect (with a little on either side and above). It will be going up this weekend/tonight. It sits about 1' from the back wall.
3/4" thick 6x4 stall mats form the base between the hitting matt and the screen. Its a little short and I had an extra stall mat, so I stacked it just in front of the hitting matt.
Grizzly Green outdoor carpet from Lowe's covers everything.
7x4 Fiberbuilt Studio mat sits just behind the stall mats.
Skytrak is ordered and on its way.
There have been some logistical challenges but they have mostly worked themselves out. There are support poles at the back of the room, so the regular throw projector (Optoma EP728 we have already only works off center. It is 4:3, so I'll be able to hit off center of the screen, but center of the image (extending the life of the screen).
Eventually I will replace it with a WXGA or better short throw projector. Looking at the BenQ MW632ST eventually, or may jump up to something with higher resolution later.
Dell XPS Special Edition with 512tb SSD and 2070 Super Graphics card will be delivered tomorrow.
Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
