  • Golf mat moving

I have just finished my build, I ordered enough turf to go to the front to front of my hitting mat. They sent enough turf for the whole area. This means my hitting mat is sitting on the turf. The room looks great with the turf in the entire room. However, when hitting the golf mat moves. Any ideas on how to keep the mat from moving?

    Thanks for your any suggestions...
    Derek

The golf mat is a 5' x 5' country club elite sitting on Rough turf purchased from Par2Pro.

Hi - I like how you mounted the Sportscreens. It's a good way to recoup ~4" of ceiling height. What did you use to attach the mounting brackets to the ceiling?

Have you considered screws? Just screwing it directly into the Rough Turf?

      Otherwise carpet tape

Hi Derek, this has worked for others to keep the mat in place:

GORILLA GRIP Original Area Rug Gripper Pad for Carpeted Floors

CARPET TAPE is what I use and my mat sits on top of a very shaggy carpet.

Rug gripper pads/strips didn't work for me. Not saying it won't for you, try it at least I guess.

I ended up going with exterior velcro strips that we're rated to 15 lbs I think? That worked best for me since I'm using a 5' X 5' Rawhide mat (refurbed Top Golf mat) and that way I can rotate the mat without changing where the strips are. Given that you apply them in a logical fashion, of course.

Hi, it is aluminum extrusions that Par2Pro uses to install the Stealth Elite screen.

Using a carpet cutting knife just remove the other carpet which is under the CCE mat. The rubber underlayment of the CCE mat will butt up against the edges of the cutout you just made keeping the CCE mat from sliding around. If the surrounding mat is not sturdy enough to contain the CCE then just glue some tabs made from 1/16th aluminum bar stock to the CCE and secure them to the floor with anchor bolts.
