  • Fittings for 1"EMT

Last night I purchased five 10' pieces of 1" EMT Conduit to build the enclosure for a screen that I purchased from West Coast netting. In order to build the enclosure I am in need of some 1" fittings as well. For the life of me I can not seem to find these anywhere. I can find multiple other sizes but not 1". I need 8 floor flanges (non threaded) as well as four additional fittings to place at the corners that I will also anchor back towards the wall. I have posted examples of what I am looking for to fit the 1" pipe. If somebody could help me out I would GREATLY appreciate it. I also included a picture of the design I came across that I am trying to copy.

Search canopy fittings on here or the web. If you search here you may find some links to what people have used.

if you live in Calgary I have some extras that I could sell.

I saw in another post that someone bought them from "carl's place". Have you checked with them already?

These are what Carl sells and I think they're much cheaper than what Carl is selling them for. I used them to make my frame and I was very impressed with them.

AHC Low Peak Up Canopy Fitting is made of galvanized heavy-duty steel construction with welded nuts and four eye bolts per part. This canopy connector is reliable and durable and will allow ease of assembly.Find the F3 FLAT CORNER FTNG 1 at Ace.

This is what my frame is made of as well (though I didn't find them at Ace), nice find!

I looked long and hard for these fittings in Canada..... Ended up buying from Tarps.com as well. Those fittings work excellent. My screen is tight to the ceiling and the side walls..... you just have to think a little while putting it together. Make the frame 2 inches larger than the screen.....all the way around and it will give you a good image and minimum bounce back.

So if my screen is 12 x 9 my enclosure should be 12'4 x 9'4? based on your description?

BTW you may want to forego the bottom crossbar. I have the same setup without that bar, just an upside down u shape. Any low launch shots may come flying back at you if it’s there.

Wow, That's looking well. I also made a mic stand with EMT conduits for youtube live stream, and It's working well. I will suggest to people that they should make something with EMT conduits.
