Hi all. I would love to see others small space builds. Im considering it with my one car garage which is 20 feet deep, 11"6' wide and 11 feet tall. I would have to get a new side mount door opener and have the tracks moved to the ceiling and then those dimensions would be clear. I also would be getting a small shed to put my yard stuff in. So any ideas? Has this size worked well for anyone? I'm a lefty. And honestly 90% of the time it will be used by just me so I don't need it to be perfectly compatible for lefty and righty. If I have to move the sim back and forth when I do have friends so be it. Please let me know what you guys think!

You'll be fine. You'll have to hit off-centered (so cheating over toward the left side for a lefty) but it's very doable. My garage sim is only slightly wider than yours and not as deep. I think I'm about 13 wide and 17 deep. Just make efficient use of your floor space like using floating shelves for keyboards and wall mounting monitors and such. There's a lot of us that are not blessed with huge rooms and have to play golf in smaller spaces. The biggest thing you have going for you is the higher ceilings. Much better to have high ceilings and narrow width than the other way around in my opinion. Check out the "builds" section of the site to see a lot of pictures of builds to generate ideas. Good luck!

My space is 9' 3" wide at the hitting area and the ceiling is 9' 8" high. I have about ten feet in length from tee to screen. I've since put down some dark green interlocking gym mats to clean up the floor a bit and might add turf not sure. I don't worry much about wrinkles in the screen. Have fun!!8 Photos

You can offset your garage opener like 3ft, all you need is for the spring tension lifting the door to be optimal. 3ft off center isn't going to cause any poor door tracking. I offset mine in a 2-car garage setup 3.5ft, over the main 'car side', and the door still opens/closes flawlessly. The key is getting the tension on your spring right, you should be able to manually lift the door up and down with just a couple fingers if it's set right. The only caveat being opposite-handed people, cause it will likely be in their way now.

Hey. I already have this in the basement but ceiling height blows. Plan on moving it to garage but it'll have to be on its side as it's too wide. But with 11 feet ceiling in garage it will fit in portrait mode. Will look funny though lolOriginally posted by Golfallday1983 View PostI’d Suggest a skytrak with net return set up, keeps the cost down and is portable.

what are your other options?
I actually got a skytrak set up to start as I will have to do some mods to my house to fit in a proper sim in. I’m also new to sim and don’t really love it enough to spend all the money and effort so the skytrak seemed perfect for now
if I love it I have a few options the cheapest is to set up in my garage I can do a 12x9 screen there and still have 2 parking spots
another Option is underpinning. So digging my basement out to make the ceiling higher, I’d only do a section of the basement not whole thing if the underpinning is under 20k I’d probably do this
final option but cost the most is building a 1000 sqft addition to my house or it maybe detached from house and make a mancave for myself but this would cost 200k plus cost of sim but I have a bigger house now lol
decisions lolll
