Finished my Sim room

I’m posting a few pictures of my Sim room. I used Skytrak as my simulator and used a short throw Optoma projector GT 1080HDR. I have a nice Dell Gaming computer that exceeds the minimum specs required by skytrak. I purchased TGC 2019 as my software. The screen enclosure was purchased from Par2pro. It is 10’ by 8’ by 3’ deep. I also purchased the high end SQ screen from them. I purchased putting green turf for the room and my mat was purchased from 5 star golf. It is 5 ft by 10ft. I purchased a 12 inch by 24 inch DivotAction strip from Custom Design Golf. The room is 15 feet wide by 16 feet deep. The projector is above my head and is flush mounted to the ceiling. I used a $10 wire basket to protect it. My ceiling height is 8’-8” except for a tray ceiling that I put in by modifying a wood floor joist and replacing it with a steel I Beam. That gave me an additional 6 inches and allows me to swing my driver with no problem.

Great space!! May I ask out of curiosity, how far is your hitting mat from the screen? Your set up looks very similar for what I’m looking at, just curious.

It looks great! I am about to get started on my room and the dimensions are almost identical. I was planning to put my mat on concrete, will the DivotAction strip stay in place? Was it hard to cut the space out for the strip? Is your putting effected at all by it not being flush? Sorry for all the questions but it seems like you have a great handle on all of this. Thank you!

Thanks. My divot action strip is the same depth as my 5’x10’ mat so putting is not a problem since the skytrak simulator measures the stroke across the laser beam which falls on the divot action strip. I have found the putting 5he ball 3-4 inches behind the laser dot works best. I’m not sure if you are planning to just have the divot action strip without the cut out in a mat. It would be best to call the company. I found the owner to be responsive and knowledgeable. Good luck
