  • Portable platform with sloped garage

Anyone built their own portable hitting mat? It’s going on my concrete garage floor, the only issue being there is a fairly significant slope.

My idea right now is to use foam tiles as the base, put a thin layer of plywood on top glued with liquid nails and then use shims to level a second sheet of thin plywood. I’ll then glue turf on top and maybe add casters and a handle on the side to make it easier to move

Reason I am looking at the foam tiles is the prevent slippage on the concrete floor but maybe I have also seen people use plywood on concrete with anti slip tape here. Would that also work as well?

I have sloped floors in garage. Leveled my DIY hitting platform. I included link to original version which I used with Skytrak. I have modified it slightly since I now use Uneekor. Mine sits on reasonably priced indoor/outdoor turf rug from HD. Underneath turf are foam interlocking tiles also from HD. Platform is solid and doesn't really move around on the turf. I have velcro underneath the platform which grabs the turf just for extra measure. The platform can be easily moved to side and I can use the bay to park a car if needed.

Cost me about another $100 in materials (1x2s, 1/2 inch plywood, Fairway Green Indoor/Outdoor area rug from Home Depot). I used a yoga mat I had as rug pad on plywood make standing on the

I had the same issue with sloped garage floor. Here is the link to my post. Hope it helps you !!
My Simulator is in my garage. All garage floors have a slope for drainage. I decided to build a platform so that we can have a level hitting surface. In real golf I usually allow 8-10 yards for every Inch of incline/decline depending on the lie...etc. I got tired of compensating on the Simulator Materials: -two 4x8 sheets of
