1" EMT for those of you with larger than 10' impact screens

Looking through the web, I only see 10' and 20' lengths of 1" EMT conduit. I will have an 11.5' wide screen. I assume you don't want to splice the conduit???? Does the EMT come in any other lengths? Any suggestions are appreciated as to what can be done that will work well.

Also for a 11.5' wide screen, how wide should the conduit frame be? I will most likely be using bungees.

Splice the 10-footers - and leave one 10' and the other for the remainder of the span (to minimize sag). For wider screens bigger than 12' across, you can eliminate sag by adding a vertical support behind the screen (with at least 12" clearance) with two pass-through T-connectors, two L-connectors, two short pieces of pipe, and one long vertical (same height as your left and right verticals).

I also have the Carl's set up, mine is about 11 1/2' wide, I did get 20' 1" EMT conduit. Menards in Wisconsin, they did not stock it but they did have on website so ordered and it came in a little over a week. My Carl's kit came with the straight connectors but I was leery of sagging because I know how the EMT fits in these connectors. I'm sure you can order 20' lengths at an electrical supply house. I did not see at Lowe's or any of the other usual suppliers. I just have to say I went from a Net Return Pro series, then added the Simulator kit with screen to my Carl's, OMG what a difference! Its So much larger! but the best part was the Impact screen! I went with the best one from Carl's and it is so damn quiet! that alone was worth the move, but the SIZE is also a super bonus!

15 years in the electrical trade and I've never seen conduit of any kind come in lengths greater than 10'. Had no idea that was a thing!

Mine will be almost 11' wide, I can special order 20' EMT from Menard's as well. Do you have any sagging issues at 11 1/2' wide?
By purchasing two 20' pieces of EMT, I will have enough for the 8' x11' screen frame.

11' should not sag any more using a 10' piece spliced to a 1' piece, than it would with a single 11' piece. But if you can get 20' pieces for around the same per-ft price, and have a way to transport them, it's not a bad idea to use them.

They basically said I would need to pay the $25.00 more for their "greater than 10' wide" screen fittings since I wanted to make mine 11' wide. I totally don't buy the fact that a spliced length will work better than a solid 11' piece. I would order 20' lengths and either have the store cut the for me or bring my sawzall and cut it myself.

The price per foot is very close to the same whether it is 10' or 20' EMT.

What are my options for places to purchase 1" EMT screen fittings?

Been awhile sine I have been here, I am not having any issues with sagging on my one piece cross braces. When I ordered my 20' EMT from Menards I had to order minimum of 5, I didn't mind as I used them all on my build. Instead of the typical 3 across bars (width) I have 4. I have another mounted as close as I could get to the top screen rod, about 6" behind it. I was intending upon hanging another blanket or backing for my screen to deaden the blow on the screen and quiet it down. I have not done so yet! With the Carl's premium its so damn quiet compared to what I was using before I have not done it yet. And Carl's said it was not necessary, but since I have the rod in place I will eventually do it just because I have it up there already, and it may help in prolonging the life of the screen.
As far as pricing I also figured it was almost identical in pricing for the 10 or 20' lengths.

I was wondering about this. I do want to save the cost of extra or wasted 1" EMT. So if I have a 12' wide frame, it works okay to use a 10' section and a 2' section (roughly) with the splice to the side and not in the middle? This would save me some money, especially when 1" EMT is ~ $18.00 for 10 footers right now.

I will be redoing my frame soon. I use slotted angle iron to the side walls, and floor. Keep cutting bungies (bottom) and I'm 12' wide. I will be using 1" emt, but a 12' span, I plan to splice the extra 2' on, but thinking instead of a but joint, maybe slide a smaller piece inside and weld the but ends, since I dont want to order a 20' and use a trailer to get it home. Will this work?
