Hi all, I purchased a Skytrak sim studio 10. The boxes are arriving every few days or so. My question: how do I know distance from screen to hit from? How do I know where to set up projector?
Calculate the exact throw distance and screen size for any projector. Use the Projection Calculator Pro to adjust zoom, check image brightness (fL), and find the perfect placement for your home theater installation.
The SkyTrak is done reading the ball launch within 18" of impact, so you can stand any distance from the screen and the SkyTrak won't know the difference.
Most folks have the ball about 9' from the screen. The range is 7-12' typically indoors. The closer you are, the "safer" you'll be (to avoid top or side screen mount ricochets) - but that depends on your screen width and height. Many folks feel a little close at 7-8', and if your screen has a lot of bounceback, dodging the ball comes into play when you're very close.
