Another Garage Golf Simulator Finished

You may have been viewing my other post on the garage golf simulator build here. This is the simulator today , i am calling it almost finished. Today after the putting green was placed and garage tile floors laid, I was able to play my first round of sim golf.

This first picture is how my garage looked 4 weeks ago.

and one month later







I am still waiting for the carpet to settle down and to remove the ridges in the carpet before i cut it to size, may have to make or buy a carpet kicker to stretch it out.

Anyone have any tips on how to best stretch the turf ? its Dark Olive from Purchasegreen

Looks great! I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with the build or the fact you were able to make all the crap in your garage disappear to make room. haha I've got something similar in the works right now. Do you feel the 4' deep enclosure is enough to catch all the mishits? It works out so much better for material but I think I will need at least 5'

Hey Bakflip - so far i have been testing and let me tell you I have hit many shanks, with the screen 14'6" wide and hitting 9- 10' from the screen , have never come close to hitting the drywall (@4 ft) That being said i have never nicked one from the toe yet. The worst mishits are around 2 ft on the mats. You have to feel safe and confident so better to be safe than sorry . Send some pics in a post of your build when ready.

re crap in garage- yes i have to put some of it back , i will use the shelves behind the right hand wall and the rest get rid of. most of the stuff is in boxes for 5 years untouched.

Coryb, Ceilings were 9'8" I left them as is . I had the garage rails lifted from 7' up to 9' to give extra clearance and replaced the centered garage door opener with a wall mounted unit.
