  • Finally - three year plan comes to fruition!

My wife and I planned to build our dream “empty nest” home for years. We purchased our property (in the country - 50 acres) in 2018, and finally started building in 2020, at the height of the pandemic and material costs. It wasn’t planned that way, it just fell that way, and we couldn’t turn back. Anyway, a golf sim was always in the plan.
I started with 10’ ceilings, and after careful analysis, both cost and features, I settled on the Eye XO. I wired the basement for it.
we finished in October, but we had a 14 week wait for Internet due to the distance our house was from the nearest home. Anyway, enjoy the pics! I am not quite finished yet (some cords still drooping), but i just wanted to play for a bit, before finishing completely.

    My Stuff-
Carls’s commerical enclosure plus premium screen
True strike mat (both left and right- not set up in pics)
    Uneekor Eye XO
    TGC 2019
    BenQ LK935St
    IBUYPOWER gaming pc
    commerical grade indoor grass

That’s awesome. My space is good, but when we build our next house, it will be fun designing the sim space from scratch.

Nice looking build! I created an account to ask you a few questions since your project looks similar to my vision:
                        • What are the room dimensions?
                        • How far is the ball placement from the screen?
                        • Any reason why you didn't use a permanent enclosure for the screen?
                        • Would you do anything differently next time?

                        Thanks in advance.

-The room 19 1/2’ x 27’ to the back stairs
                          -Ball placement is approximately 12’
                          - I built what I knew I was capable of putting together. I’m not exactly handy! We have aged wood throughout our house. Eventually, I plan on casing the enclosure in so it looks as if the wall ends at the front.
                          - I don’t think I would change anything structurally. My only complaint at this time is putting off the true strike. I ordered this way ahead of time due to concerns about back orders. I may have gone with something like a Players Preferred Fiberbuilt had I known what I know now. I just assumed it would be all about working on my ball striking in the off season, but I really enjoy playing rounds of golf.
