Looks great, but why didn't you set it up to hit in the opposite direction? You could've utilized the whole width vs being restricted by the door on the one end. What did you end up putting on the wall on the right? What kind of height do you have, assuming it's got to be quite high with the ceiling fan being there still.

This room will still be used as a guest bedroom. The wife is buying a "Murphy Bed" with a couch. If we flipped it around, we couldn't fit the bed and a bar in the room because of the access to the closet. It's not a perfect set up, but I think it's going to work out really well when it's actually complete.
on the wall on the right, I did 1/4"plywood and wrapped it in black carpet. Cheap fix for shanked balls! The net would have been worthless!https://bredabeds.com/inline-murphy-bed-and-sofaLast edited by Teddyhay228; 01-24-2022, 09:33 PM.

Teddyhay228 Looks great, but I'm wondering about this:
Are you saying there is no foam inside the plywood, just black carpet? If that's the case, you're going to get all kinds of ricochet off that...on the wall on the right, I did 1/4"plywood and wrapped it in black carpet.
Most place at least 2" of foam there - here are two options I am considering for my sidewalls (both left and right):
and:
Get care and request prescriptions from an online or in-person doctor. Now offering ongoing primary care and 24/7 telehealth.
I'm also going to use a blackout curtain on a rod to cover a window, as well as probably have a sheet of luan board up against the window - just in case. Here's the blackout curtains:
Buy Rose Home Fashion Blackout Sliding Door Curtains, Room Darkening Thermal Insulated Curtains for Living Room Bedroom, Sliding Glass Door Drapes, 1 Panel, W100 x L84, Black: Panels - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
or
Also, you seem to be missing ceiling baffles? Have you hit any wedges in there? You can make baffles from black cloth:
Chicago Canvas & Supply's 16 oz. Black Commando Cloth is an economical fire resistant fabric ideal for masking. Available from 4'6"- 9'10". Order online.
Good luck - looks great and will be even better after you add couch/bar.

Hi Bakflip ... you're right, the ball will ricochet into the impact screen - but you will also have some pretty significant damage to your walls if you don't cushion them. Also the cushion slows the ball a lot. On the left I used (about 1" thick) gym mats, which I grommeted and hung, and on the right I hung an industrial pipe curtain rod with the 7' curtains mentioned above. To fill in above (in a weird triangle shape), I used 6 yards of the Commando Cloth from Chicago Canvas as mentioned. The Commando Cloth took the longest, because it was not a rectangular piece of cloth.... It had to be folded several times to make it work... you can see my final outcome here: https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...387#post365387

Nice setup! Is your shadow on the screen when hitting or does it just look like the projector is further back?

How far back is the mat and how far back is the projector? The projector was given to me, and it's a little older unit that must have a longer throw than the newer ones. It is pretty far back. It only shadows on the screen when you step in front of the hitting mat.

Teddyhay228 Really nice! I'm about to build a garage for this purpose - what's the size of the room?
