I have had the practice hitting mat for over 2 years. No complaints, I am very happy with it. It sits on artificial grass (AG), as I didn’t want to make a cut-out in the AG. Still don’t, but I am pretty fed-up continually realigning the mat as it gradually moves on the AG. I have positioned concrete coping stones to try to restrict the gradual slippage. Any tips - on how to fix, or should I make a cut-out, and if so, how would I affix the mat whilst still being able to rotate for wear and tear?

If you cut it out wouldn't that hold it in place? If your turf is too low to hold it in place and it was still trying to work it's way out you could use some double sided tape. If you use the tape I'd suggest starting with only taping the rear of the mat so as not to create any wrinkling when you hit.

We haven't tested these, but they may work: anti-dent carpet protectors stuck to the four courners of your mat - they're available in 5/8" and 3/8" depth, so depends on the depth of your turf (most turf would need the shorter ones):

It was definitely on here as i was very interested in getting them and had inquired a couple times. I don't think it ever made it out though.

I'm using this on my stance mat: Gorilla Grip USA Made Area Rug Pad for Carpeted Floors https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Grip-...st_sto_dp&th=1 It's in between the stance mat and the plywood sheet I use as a "spacer" to get the height correct. The plywood sheet also has a layer of the mat in between it and the floor.
And this on my hitting mat: Gorilla Grip Extra Strong Rug Pad Gripper, https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Grip-...st_sto_dp&th=1 When I strike the ball cleanly there are no issues, when I get sloppy it bounces a little, but not so much as you have to readjust.
Seems to work well, just cut out the shape you need, use double sided tape to attach to the hitting mat if needed.
I'd use the first item for both but due to area configurations I need to move my hitting mat frequently and the solid white mat is pretty sticky on both sides, so after a few times of lifting it away and replacing it, the stickiness loses it's effectiveness from being moved so much, thus the rubber grippy pad works well for that.

I have 12'x20' grizzly grass (AG) over the concrete garage floor. Then the stance mat is on gym tiles to make it perfectly level with the holy grail. The stance mat has cutout for the holy grail and the holy grail is velcroed to the AG as well as the stance mat is velcroed to the AG at each corner. Can set it up in two minutes by placing the holy grail on it's velcro and then the mat around it. stays perfectly aligned this way and NEVER moves......... Can take it up and hang on the wall in two minutes to pull the car in when needed.......note, don't buy the cheap ass velcro from the big box stores, get heavy duty.Originally posted by wjf67 View PostI have had the practice hitting mat for over 2 years. Our sim has a hitting mat on top of a putting surface. When not using the simulator, we can remove the hitting mat and enjoy the putting practice. However, I grew very frustrated with the mat sliding all over the place when taking full swings on the mat. I tried rug grippers and different rubbery mats to place underneath the
Someone bumped it today. Not sure if it helps you.
