My Golf Simulator Room -- Done!

After lots of research on this forum, YouTube, etc. I bit the bullet and committed to building a Golf Simulator room. On July 5th I started ordering components and less than a month later stick a fork in it I am DONE. (or am I?).

I converted a 12.5x23 bedroom, 10' ceiling. (9.5 to bottom of beam)

I built the 2 club racks
the side wall protection panels are 4x8x2" Foam insulation board covered in black duck cloth.

Replaced a ceiling fan that was on beam with track lighting

I do have a couple short depth putting cups from BirdieBall to install once turf has had time to settle.

Only delay was waiting on Lowe's special order putting green as they "LOST" my first shipment after being delivered to store, so I had to reorder.

Great looking setup. I'm looking to do similar in a relatively similar size space. I build a 14X22 pool house/Sim room. A few questions for you. What made you decide to put the stance/hitting matt on top of the puzzle mat and putting turf? Was it mostly for looks? How did you secure the putting turf to the rubber mat underneath? Also, I love the idea of the side panels. How did you secure the cloth to the insulation panels? did you use carpet tape? Staples? Are they just leaning against the enclosure and wall or do you have them attached somehow? I was considering using heavy duty curtains or netting for additional side and roof protection, but this idea might be easier to implement.

To answer your questions.

The hitting mat is on the floor and I surrounded the hitting mat with the puzzle mats and the putting turf. I cut out a rectangle from the putting turf to surround the hitting mat. Puzzle mats for little more cushioning balls coming off screen and also to provide a little more height for when I install the short drop putting cups. The putting turf is not secured to the puzzle mats. I did put a few roofing nails through the turf into the floor in a few places to help stretch out the turf and keep it from sliding around.

Side panels: I picked up couple yards of black duck canvas from Hobby Lobby and used spray adhesive (3M) to adhere to front of foam boards, then just wrapped it around the back and used more spray adhesive. Then used couple strips of black velcro and attached to inside edge of front enclosure bars and on one edge on back of panels. Only used 4" strips on enclosure and velcro dots on panels. they stand pretty well with just that light attachment. I have not yet shanked anything into them. I thought about curtains but on the right side it is a tight fit to built-ins and curtain would not do much to protect.

I am curious if you have any issues having the skytrak on the same mat you are hitting on. Does the shaking of the mat cause any issues with the skytrak reading the ball or is it secure enough? Thinking of the fiberbuilt center mat (to allow lefties) but don't want to go that spendy and it cause issues.
