Getting my launch monitor / PC hooked up tomorrow and and now looking at projectors. The price of the BenQ LH 600 ST is attractive ... but concerned about the image clarity with that unit only having 2500 Lumens even though it is LED light source. Anybody have personal experience with the unit? The AH700ST certainly seems to be a vastly superior unit with 4000 Lumens, also sealed unit being "dustproof" which is a huge + in a garage environment. I guess I am looking for justification for not spending the incremental $800 for the AH700ST (but I believe that is just what I am going to do ... the image quality shown on various sites just looks amazing).

I bought the TK710sti, and am very satisfied with it. I also have a TK671St, which is not as sharp or bright, but works just fine in a very dark setting.
Here’s a good video comparing a few projectors including a couple of BENQs, where there is interesting comments about useful lumens.

As someone who has owned 4 projectors (GT760A, GT1080darbee, GT1090HDR, and now LH820ST), I’d recommend getting the best you can up front so you aren’t constantly wondering how much better the picture could be if you’d spent more. This can lead you to upgrading later at a higher total cost.

I had a BenQ HT2150ST (2200 lumens, 1080p) in my sim for the past 6.5 years and recently upgraded to the AK700ST that just came out. It's amazing how much better the picture looks with the increase to 4000 lumens and 4K. The trees pop, you see individual blades of grass and rake marks in the sand. I waited a long time to upgrade because i was never sure if it would be noticeable or worth it. The AK700ST was completely worth it.

- Lumens over resolution;
- Projector throw appropriate to your specific installation;
- Best resolution you can afford; and
- LED over Lamp
