Projector settings

Good Morning All, I’ve read as much as I could on this forum and other places. My projector is short throw and screen size is 80.5” h x 79” w. Native resolution is 1024x768. When I go to NVIDIA to set a custom resolution, I get a message that says my projector doesn’t support that size. Is there something else I need to do or am I just SOL?

Hi, you can just go to display settings in the computer, go to settings then system, then display. That is where to set the resolution you want. You may need to play around to get the picture size you want. Almost anything is possible. The screen you have is a 1: 1, not a 4:3, so some fiddling around if you want 1:1, maybe 4:3 will work best with white at either top or bottom. Try 1280x1024. Also leave projector in native first. There is some trial and error but you will get there. I made mine a 4:3 display and made borders.
