In the process of building a retractable screen garage set up. I'm struggling to decide what to do with my golf mat.
Unfortunately I'm a lefty and everyone i know is not (of course), so I would like to do a larger stance mat, maybe 5'x10', then get a nice hitting strip to put in the middle.
I'd like it to be semi-portable so I can move it to the side at least to use some of the garage still when I'm done, but I can't afford like the big SIG Pro mats.
Anyone have experience building a stance mat/hitting strip combo like this? I'm having trouble matching up the height of a hitting strip and the height of a stance mat - also just finding a way to make a stance mat that isn't super expensive.
Ceilings are only 9'4", so I dont want to build a super thick mat, though that may not be an issue.
Considering the Beaver Tail hitting strip, which is pretty thick (2.125" thick), or the Rain or Shine SwingTurf strip (1 and 5/8" thick).
Any help or suggestions welcome!!
