Update:
I did email gungho back again letting them know I was disappointed with the customer service. Kevin the Director of Sales responded and apologized for my experience with customer support and said they'll be sending out a replacement.
Once that happens I'll consider this whole issue to be resolved. If I run into the same issue with the replacement I plan on just trying to repair with liquid nails fuze-it construction adhesive or gorilla glue max strength construction adhesive both which I've seen recommended here for gluing turf to plastic/polycarbonate.
Original post:
I bough the Holy Grail hitting strip from Gungho Golf in Nov 2025 but didn't start using it until February 2026. Initially I really liked it when I started using it 2 months ago, but now it's falling apart. After two months of use, less than an hour a day, and primarily while I'm doing drills (not full swing) the turf is totally delaminating and the strip will soon be in pieces.
I understand that a hitting strip is a wear item, but I expected a bit (a lot) more use from it than this. Whatever, I'll just glue it back together.
I contacted Gungho Golf for an adhesive recommendation and honestly if they had provided a good recommendation I wouldn't even be posting this. What they recommended was super glue. I don't know much, but I do know super glue is a poor choice for this application.
While googling for what I should actually use to repair my failed Holy grail hitting strip (the correct answer is probably a construction adhesive) I came across this thread where this is a known problem, gungho said it was a manufacturing problem, and they replaced customers failing strips. I also found this thread with more of the same failure and gunghoe replacing the strips for some people under warranty.
Mine is well within warranty, and despite this apparently being a known repeating problem gungho didn't offer to replace it when contacted, and even worse gave bad advice for repairing. Buyer beware. Also they might just be using a chatbot for support, or someone there's humor is reusing customer typos.
My communication with gungho:

Me: whoops typo, they got the gist though
Gungho: They also used my typo when reply, either a bot or the cs guy is being funny

This is in regards to my holy grail hitting strip order #XXXXXX. The turf strip is starting to detach from the plastic sheet on either end. What would be a good adhesive to repair it with before it gets bad? Shoo goo?
Hey MYNAME, We do not have experience with Shoe Goo but could give it a try. Any type of strong super glue should help! Best, THEIRNAME
Any specific hours you’d recommend? What would you use?
Hey MYNAME, No specific hours, we have had customers use any type of super glue, no specific brand or type. Best, THEIRNAME
So this kind of failure is normal? In that case I’d expect a bit more direction than “super glue”
Hey MYNAME,
Here is a great option should hold this back down for you! If the problem persists after this application, please let us know!
Super Glue from Amazon
Best,
Team Gungho Golf
