I'm looking forward to this technology being applied to the fixed camera based systems. Maybe you can comment on the progress SwedishGuy.

Working on stereo calibration routines, but the fact that the outdoor golf season has started here in Sweden makes it harder for me to put in the hours needed. Also had issues with Point Grey cameras and some USB chip sets delaying stuff.

I recently stumbled across GSA while researching launch monitors and was taken with Martin's detailed explanations. This resonates with me as I too am a software developer. Although I would agree with the sentiment here that he seems to be lacking in focus when it comes to putting together a solid understandable system. Since you are assisting him I figure I will ping you on this. Have you guys considered the stereo labs ZED camera for the launch parameters. Seems as though this type of setup, if the resolution is sufficient, would greatly ease the computation of launch parameters. Of course that says nothing of spin. Also there was some discussion about the computational load being significant when computing spin, but I would think Graphics Processing Units (GPU) specifically NVIDIA with CUDA could handle these computations in near realtime with no problem at all. Have you looked into this? Which Point Grey cameras are you using?
