  • Guys golf trip recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice golf resort in the midwest? I am planning a trip with some friends and we are looking for a central location (we have guys from Dallas, St. Louis, and Atlanta). Last year we went to Birmingham and played the RTJ Trail at Ross Bridge and Oxmoor Valley. We don't need a great hotel, but we will be playing 36 holes everyday so if there was more than one course that would be a bonus. We are thinking of going in October, so I imagine some of the places in the far north are going to be out. Also, if the course is on TGC, that would be awesome so I can get some practice in before we go to get an advantage haha! Thanks in advance!

We've played here on one of our trips.
THE GOLF CAPITAL The Golf Capital of Tennessee isn’t a self proclaimed title. With well designed and maintained courses that cater to handicaps both small and large, Crossville has earned its title as best golf in the tri-star state. It’s easy to see why over half a million rounds of golf were played here last […]

This is a neat place but since you are going in October probably too late in the season.

Pinehurst. Pine needles. The whole area has multiple options and price points. Fly to Charlotte with a 1.5+hour drive. Great in October. Farther north could be a bit risky

If you are considering Michigan, than Gaylord MI is the best option. I second Pinehurst as well, great place.

Thanks for all the input! I have been sending these on to the other guys and hopefully we can all agree on one of them!

+1 on Vegas. Easy flight hub from most large cities. Plenty of options to do a million things. A million house rentals to choose from. You guys don't have to step in a Casino if you don't want to.... Plenty of other things to do there. Some really great courses. Great weather that time of year. We do an annual guys trip there and we play at least 3 courses each time.
