Free course downloads?

I finally plugged my Optishot into an internet connection and it gave me Pebble Beach, Colonial (Dominion), Riviera and Valero San Antonio for free

Will this update the next time I plug in with more recent course the tour is playing? Any chance for Augusta?

FYI I'm not paying for any annual pass from Optishot

The last time I heard about Augusta on Optishot, which was called "Sweet Magnolia" and/or "Georgia Peach" was a few years back. I am wishing for the same, the return of it, however I am not holding my breath.

Sweet Magnolia is available the 6th-12th if you have the season pass

Ahh good to know! I would contemplate becoming a Season Pass for that course alone. I read that if you do not connect the game to the internet after the course has expired you can use the course longer. Anyword on that being true?

It was absolutely true when I had this a couple years ago. And since optishot doesn't require hardly anything from a computer, i put it on a crappy one and it ran fine.

Sweet Magnolia became my favorite course last year. I'm glad to see it's coming back around. See out there.

WEird... I plugged mine in today to let my kids play and it gave me Augusta (Sweet Magnolia) for free. I already paid for a bunch of courses years ago... Pebble. St Andrews, TPC Sawgrass... I do not pay for the annual pass...

It may give it to you for free this week, but next week when you go online, don't be surprised to see it gone. If you've got a spare laptop download it on there and just don't play online with that computer. Then you can play it when you want.

It think it happens when there is an Optishot tournament playing (which usually corresponds to an actual tournament, the Masters in this case). It's one of the things that keeps me interested in playing. It only lasts a week. The part I really enjoy is watching some tricky hole on TV and then playing it on the Sim. It just makes the whole thing a little more interesting.

If you haven't lost Augusta yet. You can save it with a little work. All you need to do is copy the optishot folders under Program files and Program data and name them the same thing with a "- Augusta". When you want to play Augusta, turn off network connections (this is key or you lose the course) and swap the names on those folders and load optishot. Augusta will be there. when you want to go back to the normal version switch the folders back. I have done this and kept it for the last year. I plan to use this if I don't renew my season pass to keep the courses.

No..it is strictly a golf simulator with courses and driving range.
