Thank you everyone on here! Thanks to all the good advice on this forum I have a setup that works for me.

I just built my house and I am finally now getting around to finishing the man cave.

I have turf and a hitting mat on the way. I was planning on going Optishot and I have one, but I have also ordered the R Motion Setup just tonight.
I am interested to compare them!

I built the frame from 1" EMT and ordered a screen from Carl's. Viewsonic Short throw 4:3 projector.

Looks amazing! With a set up that sweet I'm gonna bet you will have a skytrak, protee or gc2 within a year haha. Opti and r motion should be great to show you how much you'll love it though, but figure you'll be inching for more down the line

Nice setup. How wide of a screen do you have? Are you going to have friends over? If so, you may want to protect that right side with something. You'll be surprised at how swinging inside can really mess with people.

RMotion is way more consistent than optishot. You'll be happy with it to start, but as iron mentioned, I'm sure you'll be upgrading down the road.

Thank you. The frame is 9'8" wide and 7.5' tall.

Yes I am going to do something to protect that right side. I have had no issues yet but like you said, swinging inside is weird at first and anything can happen. We are pretty close to the screen though, about 6 feet which helps.
