I really don't like the minimal monthly fee. What do you suppose the cost will be?

I'll guess $9.95 a month to start. Then they'll realize not enough people are signing up so they'll lower it to $5.99, to be followed by free. lol.

I think that sounds about right. That's $120 per year. Too much! Is P3Pro charging or are they even still up?

P3pro planned to start charging I dont they ever did. Their P3Live forum has been pretty dead.

Anybody here still using Optishot? Looks they're asking for beta testers for their online play. If you're testing, please twiitch or upload Youtube videos.

Hey guys, I just tried the optishotlive with two other players for 9 holes and It was pretty cool. You can see the other players tracers and putts. There are no avatars and it seems like you can join the game anytime and you dont have to,be,on the same hole. Like in real golf, to have a fun round with other players it's better if your handicaps are close. It looks promising and the software ran smooth without bugs.
You can also chat while you play .

It sounds like the online play is not turn based like with ProTee? Any chance you can twitch a match or Youtube it?

Correct you can play out of turn and go ahead of others or fall behind. Thats why it's really important to play others who play at your pace.

Btw, how do you guys voice chat with each other? Is that built in with Optishot Live?

It is not voice chat Zmax. It is a pop up box that we type chat and it lets you know what hole,shot and lie the other players have. I did nine holes with two other guys earlier and we were done in about an hour ! Also, there is a join game room and you can see who is online and create your own game or invite othere in a private or public game. I'll ask. DD if they mind me putting a video up now or after they realease the finished version.

For our tour, we use TeamSpeak for voice chat. You guys should do the same. Not being turn based allows you to play fast but would be kinda strange since you're not watching each other's shots. And you said there were no characters for the other players? What are they using to represent each player on the course? A video would answer some questions.

On the top-view map screen players have their username with their color dots. In the main screen you can see their ball and their colored tracers fly.

What about tournament stuff? scores, leaderboard, standings, etc..
