Does it work in the shade?

I was hoping to get a net for outdoor use with real golf balls on the optishot. I have an area to side of my house (pictured on the left, currently covered with junk) that is almost always in the shade. Is there no chance the optishot will work out here?

I highly doubt it will read correctly. The optishot is EXTREMELY sensitive to sunlight, even indirect sunlight. It's so bad that I had to hang blackout shades in the room I have it in. Even if it does read in the shade, I feel you would get very frustrated with the 150 yard drives it'll show. Dark room with florescent or LED lights is really the only way to go unfortunately.

No the device won't work outside. You really need to block out as much ambient light as possible for OS2 to work. Then you need to light your environment appropriately with LEDs or halogen lights to get it to read properly.
