I like the idea of perhaps requiring playing with someone. It would be great if there was a "spectate" mode in OptiShot where you could follow a round in the game live and not simply be stuck on the tee box of hole 1.

Personally, I have never streamed, have no idea how to stream and am not sure I will ever stream. Yes, streaming is something I would like to do, but my simulator is set up in a "formal" living room of a house with an open floor plan, and with a 4 year old and 5 year old running around it is not uncommon for my home to be, lets say loud.

If we go to streaming required I will likely play my rounds later in the evening when the house is more quite I guess. I am not against streaming by any means and I find it exciting watching other players play their round, it would just be logistically difficult for me.

If you use the Twitch, it doesn't pick up the background noise in the house, if your just capturing the Optishot Game screen, not you golfing, unless you want that in there as well, but wouldn't be required.. I

It's all up to you guys. For the ProTee league, all rounds must be played with at least one other person. Streaming is not a requirement. But if for some reason a player needs to play alone due schedule conflicts, family, etc.., the player must stream their round live on Twitch and the stream must be set to auto archive. The player also needs to notify me that they had just completed a round solo.

I like that Zmax, thats accountability.

I will look in to twitch. Are the recorded rounds saved to your computer or to the twitch servers?

Hey boys, I tried the twitch /obs thing yesterday and my game was very slow and choppy. I have an 8 year old computer with 4 gigs of ram I use for my opti .Just google hangouts slowed me down enough to make my game miserably slow.
I do love watching you guys play when I can and when I change my computer I'll twitch. Right now I use my smartphone to record the image on my monitor which is bit of a pain in the butt due to memory, battery life, picture adjusting, focusing, youtube uploading and when someone texts or calls me it stops taping etc..... anyway , I will always try to tape my rounds but if I couldnt for some reason, I would hate to not be allowed to play one of my tournament rounds 😭 I think making it mandatory might be a bit too much for some people and could scare off potential players.



The more players we get , the easier it will be to find times to play together.

I'm a little torn here.....The problem with making this a requirement is what Maxxx stated. I was in the same boat a few weeks ago until I bought a new computer. I was not able to stream. I used Google Hangout because it made the interaction more fun. However, it severely hampered the game. I just put up with it.

Making it a requirement to play with another player is a great idea. However, that also becomes difficult when we are talking about players from time zones that span across 12 hours. I personally would very much prefer to play with another player. I think it adds a great deal to the game.

So, I'm not sure what the answer is. I will go back to what I said in a different thread. We are all playing golf...a game of honor and trust. Maybe I am just too trusting. I believe that the "bad" seeds eventually make themselves known.

I guess my bottom line is that we stay with what we have for now and encourage playing with other players, using streaming and encourage the use of things like Google Hangout. As we grow, we will probably run across a number of additional "issues" we will need to address.

One final thought.....Maybe we initially implement either/both of these requirements for Majors and see how it goes....Just a thought.

Glad you don't mind the youtube quality Cat. I agree with Brad that we are all here to play golf and most golfers are honest. If some hacks start cheating and it becomes a big problem then we can kick them out of our fantastic club. I think if you have an optishot, its because you love golf and the challenge of the game alone and against others. Let's hope the trolls stay away 😨.

I enabled video archiving and have streamed a few holes but it does not seem to be saving the video. Is there a time frame the archived video will be available? I assumed immediately but that must not be the case?

I have deleted my internet cache/history/cookies and everything else I can think of and still can not access the ****************** site currently. It simply goes to a white screen that says "Database server error". Is anyone else having this issue? What shall I do if the issue continues throughout the day or occurs during a round? Stop playing? Record the round on paper and input on web at a later date?
