  • Swing pad and leveling

Still working on my Optishot set-up. I bought a swing mat that said it was for the Optishot, but it's no where near thick enough. How much height did you guys put under your mat to be level with the Optishot Swing Pad?
    TIA.

Is that with the original turf or did you add the jagmanjoe turf to it? The latter is much thicker than the original turf.

Original. Haven't gotten the Jagmanjoe yet, but it's on the shopping list.

I would suggest building up your mat to be a little higher than you think you need then just use "shims" to lift the sensor up to the mat surface. I used foam boards of varying widths (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=foam+board&ref=nb_sb_noss_2) and that gave me the flexibility to raise and lower the sensor as needed.

For example, you may need 3 boards to bring it level with the raised mat and existing optishot turf. Then when you get the jagmanjoe, you can just remove 1 or 2 of the shim boards to account for the thicker turf without having to redo your whole mat setup.

I don't have a mat but built a raised floor that the optishot sits in. If I remember correctly, my floor height is 2.5 inches so I built the sensor up to that.

Hope that makes sense. Good Luck!
