Just make sure resolution is set correct on it. May need to double click on the webcam source and select custom resolution I think I have mine on 640x480

If you click edit scene on the main screen and the you can change the size of your various sources and move them about etc so could make your game stream bigger and move to the side etc. you will prob need to make the webcam feed smaller using corners.

It's just like using an image editor.

Not sure why ta getting a solid red block. Unless it's just coming up really small. Lots of setting to play about with if ya double click the source lol

Mustve dropped connection during the round and so when it came back online it was in effect a new broadcast so saved them as individual broadcasts. Im not sure but I think OBS sort of saves the data in a buffer that is not being streamed and then uploads it out of real time so you shouldnt lose any video, it will just be in multiple parts I just had a quick 9 holes with my brother and got a phone call half way through so connection dropped. Its now saved it as 2 separate videos, so your connection must've dropped 6 times during your round.

          EDIT

just checked mine back and I did lose a bt of video data, so connections must ve been dropped longer than the buffer recorded... One to look out for perhaps

probably wouldnt necessarily notice it with online play, as it requires so little of a connection, just minor data packets sending their shot and location data... did you get any lag or anything during your game?

Have you watched the videos back, did you notice any missing bits between the videos.. Also would only need to drop for a second or 2, for the stream to cut out and then auto reconnect. OBS does buffer some of the video so may not lose any actual video as would have been in the buffer, and the drop may have just been so short hat didnt even notice it drop out.

Thats normally the only reason its splits the videos. Unless there was a problem with twitch. as they do sort of split videos into 30 minute segments for their audio checking software to check so may well have been an error their end.

Just had a look though and video are all different lengths etc so think it may well have just been either dropped connection or something else locally. Also if you look at the end of the 2;19 video catman has yet to putt but on the following video, the 2:27 one he has putted and vega has typed 14. So you lost a few seconds of video, thats all.

if you want to fix it for posteritys sake, you can use twitch tools downloader

              to download all the parts,

              merge them using freemake

Merge videos with free video joiner. Learn how to combine videos very easily. Put two or more clips together - save your time! Join MP4 & 250 file formats

and then reupload as one big video... if you really want to

I have my OBS software open when im streaming and keep an eye on the bottom right corner, shows Green/Amber/Red depending on upload rate etc, so if you have it open and it turns red you can see somethings gone wrong

Hey John, Thanks for your help and time . I am not that keen on " patching up my videos" so I'll leave them on the twitch as is.

                Cheers mate

HELPPPPPPPP, I have a laptop that was bought as a display, it says I'm the administrator but when I go into OBS I get this:

These applications require administrator access to capture (start OBS as administrator to capture):
                  OptiShot2

Tried runing Cam Studio which is what I was using on my XP, but it just records a black screen. Same with OBS, black screen. I HATE COMPUTERS!!!!

psgolfer Right Click on Software OBS Icon on Desktop and select Run as Administrator... This should fix your issue.....

Any help appreciated. I have tried the above streaming instruction, and believe I have entered all info correctly but when I start streaming/recording just a black screen shows. Suggestions?

Thanks Raceman, I was not receiving the same error message as psgolfer but I did try that and still black screen. I am trying to test it out on a non tournament game, does that make a difference
or should I be able to see any game that I am playing?

Ok. Have you tried start streaming then alt+tab to Optishot and then alt+tab back to OBS? If it's still black in OBS there is something else not working.
If you just start streaming and stay in OBS the preview only shows black. I think it actually streams correctly anyway but you can try the alt+tab just to see if it helps.

(And you always have to start OBS as administrator)

Edit: You could stream any game, not just tournament.

Gents jsrich, had this as good input to share,

Go into Properties, then Advanced and select Run as Administrator, then OK. Then it will always run OSB as administrator from that shortcut
