  • 2015 Optishot PGA Tour No Handicap League

Gents do you have the stuff to play in the Optishot No handicap Tour... This league will run at the same time as other League,, To qualify you must of completed a tournament with a Even or negative total with out handicap Index.....

If you are interested and feel you qualify please add your name to the site...

The Tour will run along the side of the other League, so you can enter scores in both or either or...

    Thanks CatMan

Happy with how things are going so far, I try my best not to think about score as Im going round, dont like the pressure lol.. Just need a -7 on my last round to qualify lol,, dont think I'm quite there yet

As I say be good to see if for example Maxxx scores better (ie scores a 67 instead of a 71) playing of 0 as opposed to -4, purely due to the mental effect hitting birdies instead of pars gives, and the momentum it brings..

Should see some awesome scores on that leaderboard

Also sure it wont happen as wouldve thought website can deal with it, but both yours and Vegas profile Index's are now showing as 0, just need to make sure that this doesn't carry over as a 0 onto the next Recreational Tour Event.

I would've though you profile index would've stayed the same (ie -6) but you just manually had to edit them for Pro Tour Event.

Every player has a separate handicap in each league. The one you see on player profiles is associated with the newest league each player joined, so that's why you see 0. The -7 or -56 they are in other leagues will still be there.

The Pro Tour may look at modified Cap, 3 strokes Max limit. the highest scorer in the Tour would receive a 3 stroke cap then will be on a scaled to the lowest receiving 0.. Just to tighten things up A little.

You are as ever correct, Mike hit a 0 index level par at The Colonial

And thanks Hoganwoods, was sure it would work, website is top class, just wanted to make sure

I like the way you have to qualify to enter, gives a good motivation to improve your game

A modified cap may look something like this. Currently our -7 -6 -5 players would be at 0. -4 -3 at 1. -2, -1 At 2 . 0 and above at 3. Just an example . No higher than 3

We will keep it straight No handicap at first and get a consensus from Tour Members, but 3 will be the Max Cap....

If we are going to do a "pro" tour, I don't see the need for a handicap. We have a league for handicaps. Most of us "near scratch" Optishot golfers have shot a really low round. We just don't do it consistently.

Brad, I think that is exactly the attitude we need for the Tour......

So if this is a pro tour then why we talking about having handicaps when we already have a tour set up with handicaps. it doesn't make any sense.

Yeah I think if ya gonna do it then no handicaps at all, other wise all your doing is giving yourselves a reduced/increased handicap to make your scores look a bit better/worse compared with the regular tour , with no handicap your score is your score, simple as that, as the Pro Tour is.

I think the essence of a handicap system is that it allows people of all abilities to compete at the same level, so the best golfer is not always the winner, its the player who plays the best compared to their own best performances that is deemed as having performed the best and so rightfully wins.

This Tour removes that need as every player has to just accept they are all of equal ability, ie, scratch or below Optishotters and so literally the best player will win.
