Eagle's Pebble Beach Classic February 9th 1st Major of 2015

This game is driving me nuts !!
Set off like a house on fire ! Thought I was going to post a record round. Then it all started to go wrong. I always seemed to get above the hole & then trying to lag the putt to the hole was almost impossible. The 18th summed it all up : long, straight drive; nice 3 wood to 50yds short. Pitched on 18' past & ABOVE the hole. The hole was cut on the edge of a 2 foot precipice. 1st putt just missed & ran 30' past the hole. Left the 2nd putt 10' short going up the 2 foot bank then missed the 3rd putt.

Hey guys. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to WD from this tournament. I've been dealing with a thumb/hand issue. Don't know if it's tendonitis or what. It just keeps nagging me. I'm leaving later in the week to head to Colorado on a ski trip. I'm gonna give it some rest so hopefully it's feeling better for the slopes. I'll miss the next 2 tourneys because of my trip as well. I'll keep tabs on how the tournaments are shaping up. Good luck to everyone on the turf top and the cash prize!

Thanks buddy, hopefully a little rest will do it good. Never dealt with this before. This is my favorite trip each year and I need to be close to 100% since I'm only an average skier as it is. Haha

Well if it wasn't for my crappy play in the previous tourneys I'd be at the bottom. Getting better for sure and gaining confidence in my swing again. Hoping to change my name to hookomatic with my new gorilla grip. Had an old guy I work with look at my swing and he moved my hands almost 180 on the club and presto!

Well after a full day of traveling back from San Diego, I play my first round and shoot the best opti score of my life. I'm tempted to stay up and keep playing......see if the wife wants a divorce yet.

Good scores Slice and John, my swing feels good, gotta keep the flat stick rolling, gonna be fun tomorrow.

LOL. I tried to watch you live when I was done. I was able to get 2 rounds in today thanks to my understanding wife. I am tempted to stay up late and play when everyone goes to bed but I could feel the fatigue setting in towards the end of that last round.

I'm hoping to get my last round in tomorrow morning.

MikeMizuno may well have something to say about that though, still in the hunt with such favourable conditions in round 3.

Nice Sliceo! Now Im in the car on my way home from a week skiing. I will be home in 8 houres and will then do my four rounds in this major. Will be interesting to see if I manage to go all the way to hole 72. About every part of my body hurts after the skiing so it will not be an easy task.
