#Optishot Tour Challenge - Week 3 Black Mountain Stableford Competition

We'll give this a go this week and see what the participation is like:

This weekend, the ‪#‎OptiShotTour‬ Challenge heads to Thailand! The Black Mountain Golf Club is one of the most prestigious clubs in Asia. The course is both challenging and playable, which is why it was a stop on the European Tour just a few weeks ago! Who is ready to play "Black Mountain?"

Competion Opens 00:01 EST Thursday 26th feb and Closes 03:00 EST Monday 2nd March.. Stableford Winner will be announced on Monday

    To Enter:

1 Play a Stableford Round on Optishot at The Black Mountain Course with conditions as follows

    Tees - Middle
    Green Speed - Med- Fast
    F/W Speed - Med- Fast
    Light Rough - Easy
    Rough - Moderate
    Bunkers - Moderate
    Wind - Calm
    Direction - South

    2. Once completed post a screen grab of your Optishot Scorecard showing front and back nine to ths page

    3. Calculate your Stableford points (4 for eagle, 3 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey 0 for double bogey and above) In the post also write your current Online Golf Tour Handicap, taken from your Player Profile on the Website, and dont forget to add #OptishotTour to enter the prize draw

    4. Your Total Points will be Stableford Points + Your handicap (eg 36 points + -7 handicap = 29 points total etc)

Conditions should be as above... they wont be centrally controlled so please just play fair.. your'e only cheating yourselves

Feel free to enter as many times as you like, in fact more entries = more chances to win the prize draw.

Remember this is just a fun event just to make practice rounds a but more interesting, give people something else to do when not playing tour events and also give you all some entries for the Platinum Course Prize Draw so lets not get too hung up on it

    Racerman - 41 POINTS
    IAN.HOGGARD - 39 POINTS

1st attempt in the bag.. 39 points in game, handicap -1 so 38 points total. Really like stableford.. major blowouts just dont ruin your round.. if you watch the video youll see my massive blob on hole 5 I think it was.. 5 over on one hole.. damn that green was tough Look forward to seeing what you guys can do over the weekend. Think Ive set a pretty reasonable bar Dont forget to post it on facebook group with #OptishotTour

Hmmmm...I didn't have the option to play Stableford, only stroke, match or skins. Did you play offline or create a game online?

Ah yeah, in fact that will cause an issue wont it, as has to be an online game to be in prize draw.. looks like this one is back to the drawing board. i dint even think about it when I was just trialling it to see how it worked scoring wise.. think this one could be dead in the water.. unless you just wanna do manual stableford scoring form your online game cards.. or can just do stroke play

Goddam optishot and their limited online game types.. you live and learn as they say

Yep. Works fine for our little fun and games....Doesn't get us entered for the lifetime free courses though.

We can do manual Stableford if you want. I played a round of stroke play and took a screenshot of both the front and back nines.

Just thought it would something a bit different, thats all, if you can do it then yeah just post ya score cards and then manual stableford points, base them off playing off 0 and then just Add ya cap on total

have amended the FB Post and the OP here

Why wouldn't we not be entered for life time courses if we play online between the times they are allowing us to play? Shouldn't matter on what game we play just has long it's on that course.

We will be entered if we play online. The problem is that you can only choose a Stableford format in offline play. So, we have to play an online game in Stroke play then manually calculate the points instead of letting Optishot do it.

there is no "online" stableford option, only stroke, match and skins.. I played "offline" on Stableford game which I believe wont count...

Just a few teething problems, that all lol

Scoring is a standard scoring system so 4 for eagle, 3 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey, 0 for double or above

My game is recorded on Twitch. http://www.twitch.tv/ianhoggard1955/b/630058157

seven under converts to 43 points minus 4 handicap = 39 points (if my maths is right).

I record most of my practice rounds now just in case I get a hole-in-one !

I see where the problem lies now. Online doesn't show stableford like it does offline.
