Hi, and welcome to the Optishot Online Golf Tour.
In order to be able to play and compete on Tour please follow the following steps in order to get you fully setup and ready to go for your first event.
1. - Online Golf Tour Registration
Private Message JohnMeyer saying you would like to join the Tour. He will then add your profile to the ****************** website. This website is the home of all the leaderboards and scorecards, and is where you will enter your scores live whilst playing your rounds on Optishot Tour Events
2. Tour Guidelines and Procedures Agreement
Please read and fully understand the guidelines and procedures outline in the opening post of this thread
http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...ent-procedures
You must adhere to the settings and rules posted here in order to take part on the Tour. Pay particular attention to the Clubset Settings.. These MUST be set correctly on Optishot.
Once you have read and setup your Optishot Clubset correctly, pleas post in this thread that you have read and fully understand
3. Video/Twitch Setup
It is recommended, and eventually required that you are to be able to provide video evidence of your ball and Clubset settings, and a video of your round. This is made very easy by using the Twitch service with the OBS software.
A full setup guide is provided here:
http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...our-guidelines
Please note, depending on what upload internet speed you have the settings may differ, so please ensure you follow the correct steps. Also make sure you definitely select the "Archive my Broadcast " check box so your videos are saved automatically to the Twitch servers.
Also ensure when running OBS you "Run as Administrator",either by Right Clicking the shortcut each time you open it and selecting that option, or by editing the shortcut properties, and selecting the check box that says "Always Run as Administrator"
If you find due to PC or internet issues you are unable to use the Twitch Service, simply use a low resource screen recorder and then upload your videos to Youtube at a later date. More info on this can also be found later in that thread. However the simplest method, if possible is using the Twitch service with OBS
Congratulations, you now have the minimum requirements to play on The Optishot Online Golf Tour
However for improved accuracy it it highly recommended that players Tape their clubs, especially their woods. A full guide on how to do this correctly is provided here: http://www.twitch.tv/catmanea/c/5545042

Handicaps
Upon joining the Tour all New Players will be allocated a 0 Index Handicap as a starting point and will be adjusted for each event as follows.
Please note NEW PLAYERS ARE INELIGIBLE TO WIN OR SCORE POINTS FOR THEIR FIRST 2 EVENTS, as their handicap is not deemed accurate enough to ensure competitiveness with current tour players
Gross Scores will be ESC adjusted to a max double bogey on any 1 hole
Event 1 - Handicap 0 - Ineligible for Position Based Points or Victory. However will receive 50 points if all rounds completed
Event 2 - Handicap set to (Lowest Gross - Course Rating) x (113/Slope) ( Eg Lowest Gross Score was 80 on Course Rating of 75, x 113/Slope Rating of 140 so Handicap would be 4) - Ineligible for Position Based Points or Victory. However will receive 50 points if all rounds completed
Event 3 - Handicap set to (Lowest Gross - Course Rating) x (113/Slope) - 2 ( Eg Lowest Gross Score was 80 on Course Rating of 75 x 113/Slope Rating of 140, = 4, -2 so Handicap would be 2 ) - points now awarded based on final position and also eligible to win the Event overall
Event 4 - Automatic Handicap System takes over, however manual adjustment may be done as above depending on what system allocates as opposed to performance over last 2 events. - points awarded based on final position and also eligible to win the Event overall
Event 5 - Fully automatic Handicap system in place, points awarded based on final position and also eligible to win the Event overall
A full rundown and discussion of how the automatic handicap system works can be found here: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...ine-tour/page5.
