Here's another idea, instead of 5 make it 6. Then pair rankings together for each round . Pairings will change for each round based on leader board. pairings will play together throughout last event. Same with tie breakers.

Only thing Id change from Ians is swap Kiawah for St Andrews, one of top 10 courses in the world, not been played since Season 1, and Kiawahs unplayables could really swing an event at a critical stage. Also happy with Bethpage, but dont thinks its that amazing.. perhaps we could do a different stock course, maybe one we havent played before just for a change but as it stands -
Id go
Round 1 Warwick - All players with 250 or greater Overall Points from Regular Season (will make players get some events in and try to pick up points pre playoffs, still 3 events this seaosn left to play, so plenty of chances to pick up points, and is an "end of season" playoff so should be limited to those whove played. if youd come last in 5 events youd still have 250 points)
Round 2 Bethpage - Top 20 Overall Points
Round 3 St Andrews - Top 16 Overall Points
Round 4 Pebble Beach Top 10 Overall Points
Round 5 East Lake Top 6 Overall Points
Points reset before round 1 so everyone starts at 0, but from then on points continue to accumulate until end of Round 4, with the cuts made on overall points totals.
As Catman says Overall Points reset to below prior to Final Round based on Overall position after Round 4
1 - 2500
2 - 1500
3 - 1000
4 - 750
5 - 550
6 - 500
Playoff Round points are awarded as follows according to website, so if sticking with that
1st: 2500
2nd: 1500
3rd: 1000
4th: 750
5th: 550
6th: 500
Would mean that anyone could win tour championship depending on where others finished.. i think, need to fully work through every possible outcome, theres quite a few

Wondering why it's going to be a 5 week event? Why not make it 4 weeks? 5 weeks seems a bit too much considering it's only a 9 week season.
That being said, why not go 4 events with the following:
Round 1 - Old Scot (St Andrews)
Round 2 - Black Mountain
Round 3 - Monterrey Classic (Pebble Beach)
Round 4 - Jones Lake (East Lake)

Trim to 4 weeks,
Round 1 over 250 points before reset
Round 2 top 16
Round 3 top 12
Round 4 top 8
I think only one "new" platinum course and should be jones lake for the final
Would be happy with PSgolfers lineup
Are we think each playoff round a 3 round event or single rounds?

So after some thinking about it Here is my thoughts.
Courses.
1. Warwick
2. Bethpage
3. Pebble beach
4. Jones lake.
I like the 4 event and not 5. Also have 3 rounds for the first 3 events And the 4th event could be 4 rounds.
I feel we should be playing from the back tees on pro tour. I don't mind the conditions that we have now. I do hate fast greens though. Lol
And whoever makes it to the 4th event. Should try and play with another partner. Make it more exciting if it comes down the the last shot or hole.
For points wise I like john Meyer setup.

Looks like people happy to go 4 events, so

I'm with Jason on using the back tees. Use every club in the bag, not just drive & short irons. Also makes par 5's into 3 shotters.

I would say most amateur golfers don't play from the tips,, this would obviously be an advantage to longer hitters, I think we need to keep overall distance in mind like always..between 6500 - 7000 even this is long IMO, most golfers wouldn't even be hitting from here.Originally posted by IAN.HOGGARD View PostI'm with Jason on using the back tees. Well for one. We are not amateur when on the pro tour.Originally posted by CatMan View Post

And two. Yes Some might benifit from the long ball hitter but then it also doesn't have to come down to the putter either. And I'm getting tired of hitting driver and wedge into almost every green. Should be using all clubs.
we always keep comparing to real golf and the pro golfers of the pga then I feel our pro tour should follow thst also. I don't see the pros hitting from middle tees.
Just my 2 cents if it's worth anything
