    Optishot 2 Tempo Stat?

I was wondering if someone could explain the tempo stat to me because I just don't understand it. According to the website, it is "the time from the backswing to contact". Therefore, I'm assuming that when I bring the club back it starts the count and when I contact the ball it ends the count.

However, the numbers that I have for my tempo stat are all decimals. I think the largest one is 0.7 which makes me wonder what this means. I really don't see my backswing lasting only 0.7 seconds at the most. I think the lowest is 0.4 which is just seems impossible. Am I missing something here? Can someone please explain what exactly is being measured with this stat? Thanks for the help.

The Optishot sends a few different formats of data over USB. The tempo is the time between the last time the back sensor sent data and a "swing" data packet was sent. Two ways to test this out are to 1) pull your club over the back sensor and then use a watch or something to time out 5 seconds and then swing your club over the sensor, or 2) do a few swings only going forward over the mat. If you swing forward over the mat, wait 30 seconds and do it again you'll get a tempo somewhere around 30 seconds. I don't know why you're getting such short times, I'd check if there was anything that might be causing the back sensor to trigger randomly, like if the turf isn't on quite right.

Cool. Thanks. I will try to test it out when I can.
