well guys Ive been looking at making myself an indoor simulator for awhile but I don't have an extra 20k I don't care about like some of the people on here to make a crazy indoor simulator lol. a friend of mine sold me his brand new optishot2 he got as a present for 150$ so I went ahead and ordered off of eBay metal frame bracket kit, the eMt pipe bracket ones for 50$ I also ordered a 10x10 net on sale for 40$ I ordered the jag man joe optishot cover also.. soo I still need a projector a screen and a golf mat to hit off off (I was looking at the all turf mat optishot mat, the 159$ one.. this leaves me with a projector and screen. I want to stay around 800 or less possibly for projector, and screen I was thinking maybe Carl's net off ebay or pr20 from wcn. I like the par2pro but I don't have access to sowing machine for the raw material. It will be going in my 2 car garage with 12 foot ceilings so room isn't a problem. I was thinking 10ft high by 12 feet wide for the screen. I just need an over head short throw projector that will fill the screen. I didn't know if I should order a projector then play it on the wall and measure then order a screen... I can place the projector at any height and any distance, there's an outlet in the ceiling already

also it's in the garage obviously do i doubt I'll be watching any movies or anything out there. I want good image quality but it doesn't have to be super hd movie quality. I also already have a laptop. could I use pr20 material with like a white sheet behind it to help with image? then I was reading about foam mattress toppers zip tied to the net I have as well. I'm looking to get online asap and make some friends!

If you bought the jagman joe cover, he will usually send you instructions as well on how to make a stance platform. I would go that route and skip the other mat. If you know which projector you are looking at, go to projectorcentral.com and you will be able to determine your screen size from there based on how far you setup your projector from the screen. I have the pr20 and it's a great impact screen, but the image is just ok, but i don't have a great projector either. I haven't tried a sheet behind it so can't comment on that. For the opti, lighting is usually the biggest problem to overcome. Once you get that sorted out and reading correctly, it's a fun unit to use. good luck

thanks for the reply, it says my jagman cover will be arriving today, pretty excited. as far as impact screen and projector im not sure. i think im going par2pro hq raw material. 12x10. my girlfriend works at an embroidery place she said they can hem the sides and install grommets for free so im going that route. ill check out the platform specs once my jagman unit arrives, however im really stuck on the projector. after i get the screen hemmed im thinking ill need an image about 11.5 ft wide by about 9.5ft high to fill the screen, so the aspect ratio will be 4:3. im clueless with this projector stuff. i ordered the 10x10x10 frame brackets but im going to extend the width to 12.. so its 12x10x10. i wouldl like to mount the projector on the back frame cross bar in the center which would put it 10 feet from the screen and about a foot behind where i swing. however i can mount it anywhere outside the cage looking in. its just that my garage has high ceilings so ill need some type of ceiling extender. you can see in my pic the garage light has an outlet which the garage door opener is plugged into but theres an extra outlet ill plug the projector into as well. its just difficult with this high ceilings in garage, theyre about 13 feetLast edited by b3llo38; 02-17-2016, 08:30 PM.

I bought a cheap bracket from Amazon and used some old aluminum pole to hang the projector. My screen is 12X10, from Carl's, I also have one from WCN, at my other house PR20. I have a BenQ 620 ST, they are under $500.00. If you mount the projector to the cage you might get some picture shake.3 Photos

b3llo38 Its the BenQ MX620ST. I think it is an old model. I paid $529.00 The mount was $24.99

Maze, your BenQ is not as old as mine, I have an old BenQ PB7200, which I got for around $100. It lacks HDMI inputs (does yours?) and only maxs out at 720p (instead of 1080p). I'm hoping I can get a 'good enough' image out of it, from a ceiling mount and about 14'-15' to the screen. I like the mount, and for only $25, I hope it will hold my ancient BenQ.

Wow mazen that is exactly what my sim is going to look like lol. How far back is your projector and how high. Also how far do you stand. And how big is the picture/quality with that projector. Also what netting did you use
