    New Optishot'er

Howdy, I'm new to Optishot. I've had my system for about two weeks but just got around to playing with it yesterday, I know my set up looks about as rigged as one could be but its for sure a custom set up. I have a projector on order, and an old canvas sheet I will be using hopefully in the next week. Luckily my town home has 9 foot ceilings and am able to play in half of my living room. Only one guy in the house who's not a big fan so far, as you can tell in the pictures.

Just one question for you guys out there, do you prefer the foam or real balls? Thanks.

Congrats. I'm pretty new to the Optishot myself. I think you'll like the Optishot but you need to understand what it is. It's not the most accurate but for the price I think it does a good job. One suggestion I would have is to replace the stock turf with an after market turf. As to your question, I would definitely prefer using real balls but I am limited right now to foam balls. I still enjoy the heck out of it but you just don't get the feedback from foam balls. Was thinking about trying the almostgolf balls. I also just use a canvas painters tarp for the foam balls but keep in mind if you decide to use real balls, you will need a different impact screen. Canvas cloth probably won't be good enough. You would also probably want to build an enclosure and pad the walls and ceiling if you use real balls to prevent/limit damage. Good luck and enjoy.
