Well the wife got me an optishot for the anniversary this is what I have so far and need some help with the rest.

    Optishot2
Jagmanjoe Tee Line Cover - Shipped
I got some plywood and foam board and some cheap carpet to build a stance platform.
LED 3700 Lumen Bright White light - not sure if this okay. I see so many mixed reviews online about lighting.
Laptop - Just a cheap one for now

What I need still is a projector and impact screen.
I am on a budget and don't know what to do.
I found an imperfect hq2 screen 10x10 on par2pro but not sure how I would sew on grouments ect.. I have plenty of room in the basement, what is the perfered method of mounting and is this screen okay?

Lastly I get so confused everytime I look at projectors as far as qaulity, aspect ratio, short throw distance etc..

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

That's a good screen and there's lots of info on this site on sewing and mounting that screen. Review the screen section.

Anyone ever try the impact screen off Amazon? This one is 144x108 for only 160

That's a great screen. It's what I have. No complaints, other than the way it's hung. They cut slits along all four sides, to wrap straps around the sleeved conduits. But they're not equidistant on either side. If you attach it on all four sides, it works perfectly. But if you attach it just by the two ends, the top hangs a little wonky. But, I'm just too lazy to add more attach points to the ceiling. So, I just live with the imperfect top edge.

Okay so now all I have left is the projector here is the two I have been looking at. I dont know much about projectors.

        Optima GT1080p

        Benq ht1085st

The benq has lower contrast and less lumens but the reviews I have read sort of point toward the benq. Maybe I'm just an idiot

Why do you have a 3700 lumen light above the sensors? The optishot uses its own light and doesn't need anything else.

In fact the only light problem with the optishot is avoiding reflections and shadows from other IR light sources.

I just let the light from the projector light up the room and use a small florescent above the hitting area just to get it enough light to hit easily. Even a so called '60 watt' CFL is more than plenty.

Didnt know that, I read a ton of reviews that said having a bright white light directly over the optishot helped with reading clubs better. I figured with the pj not being directly over the optishot would cause a shadow offset from the clubs.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just bought that same screen and projector from Amazon. I bought a CCE mat 5x5. I have an Optishot that I received as a gift last week. Most of my stuff should be here tomorrow.

Thats awesome man let me know how everything works for ya. It's so hard to decide with so many options and you want to avoid trial error with stuff so expensive. I built a stance platform for mine it was only around 50 and its pretty nice. Think I am going to build another 4x4 to put on the other side for the left hand guys. I have it shimmed for now until the jagmanjoe cover gets here.
